Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art and Glass Centre now closed..
Biscuit Factory, Newcastle now closed..
Arts Centre Washington now closed.

Coronavirus 
The position seems to change day by day but the following information regarding local attractions is believed to be correct;-

Beamish Museum, re-opens 29th March for walks around the grounds only. Pre-booking required..
​Ryedale Folk Musuem, hopes to re-open 17th May.
National Trust, Gibside, Cragside, Wallington, Fountains Abbey/Studley Royal all open for locals but pre-booking required, book from Friday for following week. Refreshments available and toilets open.  Souter Lighthouse car park open, usual charges apply, tea room operating as a takeaway.
Washington Old Hall closed.
English Heritage, In the North East only Tynemouth Priory and Castle Grounds only open, Pre-booking required but you can book on the day if not sold out. Belsay Hall, Warkworth Castle and Dunstonburgh Castle re-open 29 March, pre-booking required. 
Hardwick Park, open but visitor centre closed.; Toilets open. Tearoom operating as a takeaway.
Kilhope Lead Mining Museum, Currently closed for site maintenance.
WWT Washington re-opens 12th April, pre-booking required..
Durham Wildlife Trust, Rainton Meadows and Low Barns, car parks and toilets open, tearooms open for takeaways. 
Hauxley Nature Discovery Centre hopes to re-open 17th May.
RSPB Saltholme, grounds open, hides, visitor centre and café closed.
Gosforth Park Nature Reserve, open for members and pass holders from 29th March, non-members need to purchase a pass on-line.

Tanfield Railway, season has ended.
North York Moors Railway, season ended.
Thorpe Perrow, tearoom operating as take away and arboretum open.
Howick Hall open for local exercise.
​Durham Botanic Garden, open Monday to Friday 10.00 - 14.30 but visitor centre and tearoom remain closed.
​Jarrow Hall, re-opens 12 April, pre-booking required, cafe operating as a takeaway.

Alnwick Garden open, pre-booking required. .
Alnwick Castle, grounds open for exercise and recreation, pre-booking required. Castle hopes to re-open fully 17th May. 
Durham Castle, closed
Durham Cathedral, open for services, private prayer only. Hopes to re-open for visitors 17th May. Toilets and tearoom closed, (public toilets are available at Cathedral Green).
Hexham Abbey, open for private prayer and services only, hopes to re-open for visitors from 17th May..
Ushaw College, gardens open and refreshments available..
​Auckland Castle, Deer Park open but all buildings closed until June 2021.
